After moving to Germany I was underwhelmed by the beer. I would describe German beer as "consistently OK". Although it seems that they are now starting to enter the hip & edgy meme beer scene that has been exploding across the ocean for the past few years. It's for the better in my opinion. I had an IPA the other day (pic not related) and I realized how much I actually missed it, they just have so little presence here.
