a good looking 30-some german woman approached me and I offered her a drink in english, then started highlighting the peculiarities of what I offered, she drank it and a (probably) swiss man, 30-some, well kept and well dressed, approached me too and started making small talk with the girl in german
the woman went on her way, the man kept looking until she disappeared, and after finishing his drink he turned to me, saying, in my language with just a slight accent, the equivalent of "fucking hot she was eh? you mind if we switch places for a couple hours?"
took me quite a lot of strength not to burst out laughing, and I offered him some more expensive alcohol

being a bartender has its moments but it's overall not nearly as romantic as the stories make it seem, I can't recommend it, in fact I actively discourage anybody I know from doing it, at least here
I was never one to smoke regularly, so to manage the stress most mornings I just looked at a picture of an anime girl saying "Wake up wageslave, time to put on that customer service smile and go get this bread", punched a wall, locker, drawer or some such, and went on to make drinks and manage customers, though I doubt I could have made it if I didn't have the very high self esteem I have
