But my favorite experience was at Marunaka in Fujieda, famous for breakfast ramen. I was there around 8am, the only westerner in a packed restaurant. I got a few questions an about if it was delicious and if I loved ramen.
And then the real fun was walking back to my apartment, about 3 hours away.
What a good day, Jan 5 2019

You have to eat the noodles fairly quickly or they'll get shitty. Slurping is both fast and helps cool them slightly. It's objectively the best way to eat them.

Kind of, but I'm not so picky about it. I just like to try taking decent shots to remind me of the time /place / etc
This I ate a week or two into 2019, in Fujieda around 8am. Fujieda has a tradition of breakfast ramen.
After I ate, I walked for several hours back to my apartment in Shizuoka a few towns away. I really enjoyed it.

This is breakfast ramen, a tradition in Fujieda, Shizuoka. The broth is fish based. It isn't nearly as heavy as tonkotsu.
Well it is still heavy, though

It most certainly is, if the food is actually unique or noteworthy rather than just being "good."
This is from マルナカ in Fujieda, noted for serving breakfast ramen which has become a part of local culture.

I hear you man. I'm leaving Shizuoka soon myself. I'm hoping to get a rail pass to visit Aomori and Hokkaido before I go.
Do you have a restaurant you'd recommend for the best niboshi ramen?

I don't know if any style famous to Shizuoka, but there is a fairly well known fish based breakfast ramen. It's very nice!

The restaurant is マルナカ in Fujieda.

My tomodachi!
If you guys want something different, Marunaka in Fujieda has a shop famous for breakfast ramen. It's nice! The broth is fish based so it's a pretty different experience.

I took a short trip to Fujieda today to try マルナカ, famous for their breakfast ramen. It's a tradition here since 1919. It was really good!
