Assuming it's not a meme I'm surprised people don't eat it as often as I can. No really good places where I live so I just tried making my own.

1 16 oz premade pizza crust (the kind in the exploding can)
1 lb mozzarella cheese
28 oz + 14 oz canned crushed tomatoes (Like you've ever had too much sauce on a 'go 'za before)
2 tsp salt (plus more to taste)
2 tbsp sugar (same)
1 tsp italian seasoning
1 tsp dried basil
1 lb Italian Sausage

>optional: olives, pepperoni, bacon, peppers, etc. Sausage is good enough for me but to each their own

>1) Crumble Italian sausage in pan.

>2) Add tomatoes and salt, sugar, italian seasoning, and basil and bring to a boil over high heat. Simmer until all the liquid is almost gone, around 30 minutes. I wish you didn't have to simmer but it splatters otherwise.

>2) Roll out pizza crust in bottom/sides of 9x13 foiled baking pan. If you really like it buttery and such you can knead 1/4 cup of butter with the dough before you roll it out.

>3) Layer sausage on the bottom, then shred the cheese, and spoon the sauce on top.

>4) Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. I like this temperature because otherwise the cheese turns out weird.

Serve with parmesan, romano, red pepper, etc.
