steak a little bit overdone for my taste and you didn't let it rest long enough, sauce is broken, potatoes are a little uneven/anemic, and asparagus looks a little overdone but I enjoy crispy slightly burned sparagus. Overall looks like a fine meal, just nothing too pretty, and work on your sauce technique.

failsafe way to make a pan sauce is once the steak is out, crank it up, add diced shallot or garlic or just go straight to deglazing with a little red wine/beer/stock. once it has cooked down about halfway, take it off the heat. season to taste and then add in a tablespoon of COLD unsalted butter and whisk in the til it just melts and emulsifies. toss in some chopped herbs of some kind and fold in gently and you should have a nice simple pan sauce. don't overwork it once the butter has emulsified w the sauce.

In the same way men have an instinct to eat more in front of other people to seem manly, women seem have the instinct to appear to eat less, maybe to seem like less of a burden. or maybe they just are more comfortable eating from your plate that you've already tasted, like an animal.
