What's the real deal /ck/? How long can you leave butter out at room temp so it is soft and ready to spread? I am always afraid it will go rancid before I can use it.

The way he makes his pasta reminds me of how I evolved what I learned from the Italian side of my family. He seems legit like an anon that wanted to do a home cooking show and take it seriously. His techniques are simple and practical, easy to learn, which is good for brand new dishes. Also he's obviously really into his own food.

I appreciate your idea but it's unrealistic for many reasons, including the fact that I've moved to an area that's so rural that there isn't a food bank, and the locals aren't so keen on receiving random shit even if you know them. And my friends and family are far away.

I'd rather just find ways to use it rather than waste it.

Or not use them at all. As I stated, they're only good for sticky rice as they have a rough texture. Unfortunately they are both rough and porous which means they harbor bacteria like hell.

Restaurants should probably use metal because they are difficult to break and can be sanitized like a knife, fork, or spoon. In addition they can survive high temperatures and be used to cook.

Ceramic is great for home, until your visiting brother loses his temper and breaks one.

I always thought cooking and drinking went together. I've been a cook for 25 years and I still enjoy drinking and cooking.
