I'm making time. Time to enjoy something that comes from me rather than something an increasingly tentacled media uses to channel my money into their coffers.

Examples: today I saw a mediocre guitarist / singer with heart sit down & play with a supremely able ukulele picker at the end of the day. Both played to each other -- humbled themselves, tried new things, fell back on old ways, and had a blast.

Also saw a man who had a stroke as a baby try to draw something in front of him, not because he was an artist, nor because it suggested someone else's approval. He did it because he wanted to see how his hands & eyes coordinated to represent what he saw in front of him. OMG is very trite, but oh, my god.


What am I making for super bowl weekend? Think I'll ignore it & explore my own limitations.
