Anyone have weird family recipes?

I remember someone posting about how their aunt or neighbor's husband was stationed over in South Korea for a few years and they brought back their taste for kimchi with them. So to replicate kimchi when they were in the states, they would boil cabbage, put it over rice and eat it with jalapeños.

Also I had an aunt that made lasagna with raisins.
