The geese will start landing soon. In one week, i’ll be killing 20 a day and only eat roasted goose and drink lake water for about a month. The ice is melting so i cant set nets. The ice will be completely melted by june so i’ll be eating a wide variety of fish and dried goose meat and also drink lake water. The moose eats lots of moose berries in the summer which improves the flavour so i’ll go kill one and eat only moose and drink lake water so i can spend most of my time picking berries. I dont kill moose in the fall because its hide is too thick for sewing. I’ll mostly be eating ruffed grouse with blueberry jam if i dont kill a bear. The tens of thousands of cranberries i picked will be fermented. In the winter, i only eat beaver and porcupine and drink only lake water and cranberry wine. I also make birch syrup.
