I grew up wypipo poor. Had enough, but barely. Ate loads of generic shit. Small house, no A/C, you know, not 3rd world poor, but watching every dime. Got scholarships, worked hard in school, went to law school. Became vice-president/corporation counsel for a good sized company (F-1000 ish.) retired at 50. Worth about 5MM. Not stinking rich, but plenty <<comfy>>.

Biggest food change? I have expensive pans and a nice stove. I cook what I want when I want. I'm no longer a slave to what's on sale. After growing up on coupons and generics, the change to what I want when I want it is the biggest change.
