No of course not! He gave me a wee shot in a clean glass. I thought he was just showing me the bottle at first, came in a fancy white box that he had hidden in the back room, then he poured me one. Afterwards he told me it’s normally 5500 yen a glass, which is a lot.

I was pretty drunk by this point but I remember it tasted extremely good. Very smooth, mild hint of smoke and peat but had developed into a quite fruity and spicy taste you would expect more from a Speyside.

Was one of the comfiest pubs I have ever been to, and most certainly the smallest.
