there's an amish root beer near me that's pretty good
i like the guarana soda picrel and the mexican apple soda
i used to be into jones soda, cherry lime, blueberry bubblegum, fufu berry, etc, but kinda got burned out on it
when i lived in vietnam i would always drink "saxi" which i think is charlie's take on sarsparilla but it has some weird herbal notes that really grew on me.
the discount store next to the bodega by my house will often have some weird sodas and i might try one or two if they catch my eye. that's where i got the guarana. before that they had some kind of carbonated horchata thing that was weird but good, and some kind of coffee-soda vanilla latte soda thing that i got addicted to briefly (4 for a dollar). there are so many varieties of sugar water.

when i was living in new orleans i lived next to a drug dealer who would drink codeine cough syrup and he introduced me to the world of exotic sodas, he would buy variety packs of fanta from around the world to mix his cough syrup with. there was a peach one from japan that was really good.

but honestly? for me? it's cool clear water. soda is too sweet. if i have more than one every couple days i feel like i'm turning pre-diabetic.
