Unloading freshly done dishwasher. Dropped fork on bottom. Go to grab it. Get a handful of redhot metal. I touched the metal ring. I even held on for a second because I thought it was the fork. Didn't hurt for about ten minutes and then severe pain that lasted 2-3 days. Worst pain of my 11 year old life. I probably fucked up by immediately putting ice on it. At least today I shrug off burns like a man.
