I heard you guys talk about cooking here but I'm not too sure from the catalog?
I'm trying to learn basic meal bases, what should I know how to make?

So far I've made;
>Mirepoix
>Bechamel
>Chicken Broth
>Basic Bread

What other fundamentals should a cook learn to progress (any cuisine) and what kinds of dishes does it open up?

I honestly have trouble connecting with other people knowadays. Been like that since the start of college, or maybe I've always been like that, but the crutch of having friends I grew up with blinded me from that fact. Currently I've graduated, gonna leave my home soon, so I hope to find myself some new hobbies, maybe meet people I can connect with. I've always watched anime, but never associated with people who liked it. Maybe it's time I changed that.

How in the name of God do I prevent my Alfredo sauce from separating? I'm using the basic recipe. Butter, garlic, heavy cream, sour cream, salt pepper, parm.

Seems to almost curdle and the oil separates, how do I get a nice smooth creamy Alfredo sauce?
