Speyburn is the best scotch whiskey for the money. $20 for a fifth, but it drinks like a $80 scotch.

Huh, that is a good idea. I myself just sip on scotch, but get drunk on bourbon, but I normally finish the bottle of scotch and then buy a new one. I may start buying a new bottle half way through - just to the neck isn't quite enough for me to be familiar with the malt, I think.

Also, just for the hell of it, this is the last bottle of scotch I had. I was low on money but still wanted some, so I got this. Really not bad at all. Nothing to rave about, but it sure didn't taste bad.

So I bought some Speyburn 10 after hearing so much about it not only here but pretty much everywhere. I paid $32 for it and I have to say it is a great deal, just like everybody else says. It is 43% abv and as far as flavors I get some generic fruitiness and honey at first, followed by a herbal, minty finish and maybe a tiny bit of peat, but only the tiniest bit, and only on the finish. It is good with or without water.

Speyburn 10 is a pretty great scotch for the money.

I paid $25 for 750mL, and it did it's job well. When I just want to drink for getting drunk this is my go to. Its not every day you can fork out the money for Glenfiddich 18 just to de-stress after work.
