Hell yeah brother, do you have a finished product? Mine came out a bit dark the last time I made it. I also made it with beef necks since that's what they had at the store at the time. COVID cooking be like that

This, unless you are feeding a large family it is not economical to make homemade stock.

You need several pounds of bones to make a good bone stock. I barely get a few pounds of meat a week to feed myself and my wife. Most of the time without bones.

Unless you were super diligent, bought larger primal cuts, butchered it, saved all the bones, froze the stuff you couldn’t use that week, and then it’s probably worth it.

But at that point i’ll just fuckin buy stock at the store. I’ll make my own sometimes when i really care about the flavor. I made homemade pho not that long ago. Tasted great, but it was way more expensive than just buying beef stock. Pic related

Made some pretty good pho from scratch recently. It was great, but not worth the effort.

Roasted red pepper and tomato bisque is super easy and delicious. I don’t have any pics of that tho.
