the process of flavoring the OJ is the same across all brands but it just depends on their flavor profile that they use. when the oranges are juiced they're put into big vats and all of the air is removed from it and that removes the flavor from the juice. this has benefits for them, since not every harvest is going to taste the same they can control the flavor of their juice. they then add their flavor profile back into the juice, which is why each brand tastes different but it allows them complete quality control of their product at any time of year with frosts, etc. not affecting the flavor.

that's totally bullshit and it annoys me that people keep repeating that stupid shit. florida oranges are superior in every single way however they don't ship well because the rind on oranges grown here is thin due to the weather. they also ripen and go bad faster due to the thin rind, but are more juicy and flavorful than any of that nasty california bullshit. same goes with grapefruits grown here.

we also do not grow the same varieties here in bulk. california citrus is disgusting and you have to dig through 1/4 of an inch of rind just to get to the bland, emaciated meat. california oranges are more prevalent because they ship better, full stop. they also pick them before theyre ripe and thats why they taste like absolute shit.

Just in case you other posters get any ideas, we're full by the way. Sorry, not accepting anyone new. You wouldn't like it here anyway. Whatever you want in a state we're the exact opposite of that so just stay home and out of my publix please and thank you.
