Reminder that HALF (1/2) of the worlds oceans are industrially fished including pretty much all the productive upwelling regions. Reminder that fish 'farming' makes the problem worse because salmon and tuna, the most farmed fish, are high trophic level and we have to overfish to oceans that haven't already been overfished to feed them. Reminder that several species of tuna, a species that lays thousands of eggs, are endangered due to overfishing. Reminder that 1.3 billion hooks are cast on longline nets every year, reminder that several species are endangered entirely due to bycatch percentages, reminder that instead of fishing less we are just fishing deeper along deep sea mounts where fish grow more slowly and take longer to mature. the oceans are going to die because of you fish eating retards.
