What is the most cost effective way to have a great deal of beef jerky? Can I buy it in bulk somewhere or am I better off making my own? I want like a barrel of jerky.

What are /ck/'s opinions on jerky? Delicious? Trashy?

What are some good brands to buy? What are some good ways to make your own?

Murican here and it seems like the vast majority of purchasable jerky ranges in quality from okay to dog treats and costs significantly more than you would think a bag of salted beef would cost
