Because aside from good taste, any food capable of frightening dumbfuck right wingers is good in my book.

Liberal vegetables disgust me. The only vegetable I eat is corn. Green shit makes you gay. Vegetarian is indian word for 'bad hunter'

Better than our liberal elitist first lady who thinks she knows what's best for my children. What business is it of hers if my kids want to have something delicious now and then? Sandra understands regular people like us, probably because she is a Christian and wasn't born in Kenya, unlike a certain other first lady. Sometimes you just don't have time for all that fancy chef stuff. Don't judge me, you don't know me.

I see heirloom tomatoes, non-regular potatoes, corn that isn't frozen in a bag, and I'm not even sure what that stuff on the right is.

Take your pretentious liberal garbage back to reddit.

>be replicated easily

Any beer recipe can be replicated easily anywhere in the world. That's why beer is the drink of choice of the plebeians. It's why brewing companies need to create "seasonal" and "limited" beers. It creates an artificial scarcity so that plebeians who have grasped the logic of conspicuous consumption can have their fun while drinking a pleb drink.

Don't argue with me. You know it to be true.

You go to the doctor and you give him money for the blood sample and for the lab analysis and for the visit (3 separate fees). In my country (USA USA #1) the last time I did this it came to around $350. Of course I only know this from looking at the insurance records, I only had to pay about $30 in cash because I am not a moocher, evader, looter, or dead weight on society (that is to say, I have a job). The rest was covered by my insurance which those of us who contribute to society always have.

In related news, the glorious Tea Party is now revoking Obamacare so that the poor can die in the streets, like God intended.

American here. Any vegetable that isn't potatoes or iceberg lettuce is forbidden. For example in a recent national election for our head of state, one of the candidates was suspected to be constitutionally ineligible for office because some people were saying that he had ordered a salad containing arugula. He was able to "prove" his Americanness by drinking a beer but it was a close call.

There's a great deal of confused "patriotic" butthurt lurking around /ck/ in the form of culturally deprived trash from flyover land. Around these parts, I've been accused of being anti-American (or sometimes European which to these dumb hicks is probably the same as saying I'm a member of Al Qaeda) for the following relatively innocuous things:

-Saying the only McDonalds thing I like is breakfast
-Claiming that yogurt is a common food
-Saying I enjoy wine with dinner
-Saying I sometimes enjoy Japanese food
-Saying less meat and more vegetables is good

In addition, I've been told off with apparent sincerity when I said that more pictures on /ck/ of food from around the world would be something I'd welcome.

The amount of anger people have about people who are not like them and foods that are unfamiliar to them is a testament to how many Fox News watching xenophobic retards we have, and I have no doubt that a lot of people in this thread are genuinely beside themselves with rage that a wealthy blond woman or an uppity nigger once said arugula is good.

1. The fact that, despite the internet, there are people in my own country with an astounding ignorance of basic foods (see: nutella, avocados, etc)
2. Frequent beer recommendations, occasional wine recommendations, and rare liquor recommendations. The legit wine advice is good but rare. The beer recommendations are sometimes good. The liquor advice is hilariously bad.
3. Anything #trending (cronuts) because I don't frequent the twitterverse
4. Current knife fads because I no longer troll knifeforums or fred's cutlery forum
5. That steak flipping thing from Heston
6. Bananas are an herb

It took me a while to realize that most of the poorfaggotry and resentment of nice things was because there are a ton of underage posters here pretending to be adults. That may very well explain the nutella and avocados thing too, but there seems to be a little too much of that to be explained by 16 year olds.
