Hello /ck/ I want to start drinking whiskey.

I assume the taste will grow on me, so the only way I can get to like it is by drinking it more often.

Any suggestions on what to drink or drink it with?

I'm open to anything really cause I don't really know the difference, bourbon, rye, Irish, Scottish. I'm in the UK.

Anyone know of any Halloween-ish whiskey drinks? There's pumpkin beer, why not pumpkin whiskey? Or at least, pumpkin spice flavored whiskey.

/ck/ can you help me get into Whiskey? I'm trying to find a good $30-40 bottle to start with, just something I can sip as I watch movies and shit. I'm in the US so (I think) bourbon will be easiest to get, but throw some names at me and I'll see what I can make happen. Also whiskey and sub-categories general? Pairings?
