You're way too stuck on tenses when the argument was about the fact that Italian cuisine wouldn't exist in its present state without past innovations. If you can't get your head around that you're honestly too stupid for this conversation, which your broken grammar seems to indicate. Nobody's arguing in this thread that Italian culture in a modern sense isn't defined, they're arguing that it's stupid to get mad about newly introduced concepts when Italian cuisine wouldn't exist if no new concepts were introduced. People that come up with such poorly-structured sentences like "you English native grasp so hard to understand basic logic in your own language" would naturally struggle to understand a basic grammatical argument though.
