Hm ... I haven't eaten those in a while.
I think it's kind of a cross between wild blueberry (not the giant store-brought ones), and raspberry . Wild blueberry is far more sour and small than the commercially-grown ones.

Anyway, they're great in jams. You could probably order a fancier black currant jam if you're curious.
