>fried potatoes
>they eat the steak
>mom-in-law wants it cooked more
>they say it's good
<each time they cut it, they cut along the grain, not against it
>they eat steak like they chew bubble gum

It bothers me enough that people eat their steak cooked past the optimum because they don't like the sight of red in their meat, but to me, to not understand that cutting pieces along the grain makes the meat means you have to chew every bite like a god damn animal makes me really upset. The annoyance I felt was magnified by the fact that I paid for and cooked the steak. How do people make it through all these years without knowing the basics?
