>v60
cheap, available worldwide, widely used, various materials available to sate autism, gold standard because of the previous statements
>Hario Switch
Marginally slower/smaller v60, but with added flexibility through full or hybrid immesion recipes
>chemex
looks nice, relatively expensive, thick filters that strip alot of flavor/oil that other filters would let through, has a tendency to choke itself off so you have to stick a chopstick or something down inbetween the filter and cone
>bodum
why
>Kalita wave
"v60 of flat bottoms"
>everything else
varied flow/material versions of various cones/flats. Origami is a jap porcelain(also available in plastic) faster v60 that can also fit flat filters. April dripper is a faster kalita wave, Orea is a smaller faster wave etc etc. Pic is of an "natural rock ore/old rock mud" v60. Will it brew slightly differently from the plastic ones? Yes, due to different thermal properties. Does it matter? Only if you want it to.
