My girlfriend refuses to eat Indian food because "onions and garlic together hurt her tummy" but she has onion rings and Italian food with absurds amount of garlic and onions together all the time. The form of spice she has are hot cheetos and takis so I know she doesn't refuse to have Indian food because of the chili powder spice.

She also outright refuses to eat raw tomatoes and bell peppers, and reluctantly eats them when cooked. She says its a "texture" thing.

So my question is this: what causes people to act like this with food. Is it because their parents pampered them too much with food as children?

Did you even look at the screen shot? No that's not how things work here. If I own a horse and slaughter it for meat on my own property, no one can say shit about it. Even if a neighbor complained and for some reason I had to go before a judge. The judge would throw the case out and bitch at the cop handling the case for wasting his time. If I tortured the horse while killing it then I could get an animal cruelty charge, but they wouldn't say shit about me eating it. As for selling the meat at my butcher shop, I would need to get the meat inspected and the only challenge I would face would be finding someone qualified to grade horse meat because it's rare.

I've always heard people saying wine is "bitter" and I never really understood WTF they were talking about until this week. I mean some particularly badly made wines can be bitter but just wine in general? They must be wrong.

But we had an office party and someone had a bottle of some terrible wine and I learned something. The first glass was some god awful cheap stuff and I almost poured it out but I didn't want to look like a dick so I drank it. Second glass was easier and third glass I was at the point where I could drink it without struggling to control the look of disgust on my face.

Then we opened one of my bottles, which I had intentionally chosen because it was a pleb friendly new world white that I don't even normally drink. And to my surprise, the first few sips actually tasted bitter, like it was infused with grapefruit peels or something like that. This was a wine that I would never in my life say is "bitter" but it's all relative I guess.

Then my palate adjusted and I almost cried tears of joy because it tasted like wine and not mega purple and chemicals.

Anyway, sorry for doubting all you plebs, and let's talk about other cases where we erroneously assumed the mouth breathers were hallucinating or delusional when they bitched about nice things being unenjoyable in some way.
