This is really the most tragic part of the situation. A good deal of my closest friends seem to have the most ridiculous, childish reactions to food that's out of their comfort zone that it makes me think I'm taking crazy pills from time to time. One reacts to broccoli like it's poison, another sees ethnic food as "weird", another is fit as fuck but "just isn't into eggs", and actually one person is pretty decent but has a million food allergies.

Like, has western society become so decadent that even smart, decent people have stopped respecting where food comes from? My parents were terrible fucking cooks and pretty strict, too. I had no choice but to eat their shit or face being judged, so I can't ever put myself in my friends' shoes.
