Actually there IS a problem with raw white eggs, they are rich in Avidin, a protein which binds Biotin and thus makes it difficult to absorb. By cooking the egg, you denaturate the avidin and so you can absorb biotin better.
With large quantities of raw white (we're talking about "2+ raw eggs daily for months" large) you can develop biotin deficiency (and actually that's the only way you can, since biotin is ubiquitous)
