Mom refuses to taste a ton of the stuff she makes because "I don't eat that." Then she's surprised and gets buttmad when people tell her it's bland or too salty. Also not just my family, but I noticed a lot of people just have no idea how to brown meat for some reason. Like they just throw meat in a pot and leave it there without stirring for 10 minutes and then wonder why it's still pink inside. I got a friend who was legit baffled at why his ground beef didn't come out like mine when he literally just threw it under a broiler for a while and ended up with raw meat covered in a burnt outer layer.
