This new prep cook just started at my work, and he sucks ass at everything. He was making some cheese dip and destroyed a pot in the process. The recipe says to deglaze the pot for a few minutes with 3 OUNCES of water. So this guy puts in 3 FUCKING LITRES of water, then "deglazes" it for about an hour before someone noticed. And supposedly he has 15 years more experience than everyone else there.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't eat uncooked rice?

I like the taste and texture, and I like that I can just take a big handful and get 160 calories and 4 grams of protein immediately without having to cook it.

So far I haven't felt sick from doing this.
