Honestly a case of don't knock it till you've tried it. Bit of salt, pepper, dash of vinegar. Use less salt if you have salted butter (you should) you can add a lil bit of ketchup too which works well

Can't beat a bit of peas-on-toast. The mild creaminess of the peas combines with he richness of the butter and the crispness of the toast to create a delectable meal. Add ham or mushrooms to add more flavour.
