not even close. that deep brown color from 1 week old oil, that slightly soggy texture, fries that are slightly sweet with a dash of white vinegar and little now tops of ionized table salt from a shaker from the the 80s with a few grains of rice in it. the table is sticky, the neons are bright white and buzzing, the cook is a sweaty fat man in a tank top, you look up and hear him yell "deux steamés all dress chief". it is, dare I say, very soulful.

Quebec have some legit fast food chainpoutines anon. Belle Province, Lafleur, Ashton and Valentines are pretty close to authentic to me.
