Danish hotdogs usually come with pickled cucumbers. The regular ones you'd use on a salad, but sliced and pickled.
Denmark obviously does also have actual pickles, but that's not what we put on the 'dogs.

I like my hotdogs Danish. Raw and fried onions, pickled cucumber, condiments as you prefer but I would take remoulade, ketchup, and mustard on mine.
