Only time I've ever had trout I caught it myself and my mom cooked it. Just fried it super simple, with some bread crumbs I thing. It was divine. I don't actually eat fish all that much, though that might be due to my wife's disinterest. On occasion I really like getting ayu (sweetfish). It's just a standard fish, heavily salted on the outside and put on a stick by a fire until it's done. Camping food. You eat it with your hands and pick out all the inedible bits.
