>preheat oven to high
>apply a light coat of vegetable oil over the whole pan with a paper towel, it shouldn't drip or anything
>put it in the oven for at least half hour
>if the pan remains sticky keep cooking it until it smooths out
>leave it to cool inside the oven
>buff out with a paper towel or dishcloth
