Sandwiches really don't have enough calories. I was doing the calculations and a basic sandwich maybe has like 300 calories. It's not enough

I had a question about sandwiches. What kind of sandwich do you conjure when you hear or read the word? Why?
I always think of a sliced chicken and ham with tomatoes, cucumber, romaine lettuce, salt/pepper, and either swiss or cheddar cheese on white bread with mayo and mustard.
Is there a name for this sandwich? Is it an established type beyond just a version of a cold cut sandwich? Like, a ham and butter sandwich is a Jambon et Beurre (typically on a baguette), what is this?

So you telling me humans spent thousands of years eating both bread and meat and no one thought of putting them together like this until like 300 years ago, or is this a thing people have always been doing and some rich bastard got to stick his lord name on it because fuck you peasants?

What is your go-to home-made sandwich?
I think I may have created a master-piece
>Bakery sub bun, lightly toasted with mayo/garlic salt on both top and bottom
From bottom-up
>Thin layer of shaved turkey
>Thin layer of thinly sliced summer sausage (preferably homemade)
>small squirt of mustard
>Layer of thin sliced colby jack
>Layer of dill chips (preferably homemade, these make the sammich)
>a tiny bit more mustard
>diced red onion
>tomato
>lettuce
Put top bun on and BAM
