So a buddy of mine made it safely home from his trip to China a couple nights ago.

He was telling me about the stuff he saw, places he visited, and the food he ate.
It made me hungry as fuck.
...but one thing bothered me.

He says the whole time he was over there, (a couple weeks at the most) he didn't see a single slice or crumble of cheese.

Fresh noodles, veggies, open food stalls everywhere, seafood and all sorts of meats and animals on skewers, but not even a single lonely wedge of any cheese.
He said milk was pretty rare over there too.
I guess their version of 'cold' milk is actually 'room temperature'. They drink it hot.

Has anyone else heard of this?

As an American, I feel slightly bothered by a lack of dairy products.
