A midwesterner cooks meat:
> 40 minutes of autistic arguing over how many minutes per side, whether to salt early or salt late, whether to take it out of the fridge, etc

A flyover cooks a vegetable:
>boils it until it's a bowl of green goo, doesn't even salt the water
>ugh, gross, this is healthism. the vegans are oppressing meeee!

If you people spent 20% less time sperging over how to cook beef and spent that just thinking for a SECOND about how to cook everything else, your food wouldn't be the laughingstock of the civilized world
