Oh I know it. I've bought alcohol for my friends before who weren't 21 yet. They came in the store after me and left before me.
You're a god damn adult. You bring your identity with you to the liquor store, because you're going somewhere to buy something, and your money and ID should be close together in a thing called a wallet.

It's kinda easy to tell that some people look about 30. Most signs mention ID'ing if you look under 40, but most people do the under 30 rule. ABC here mentions "Under 27" in online training. I usually keep it pretty lax around people who look cool, and if they're cool they usually don't mind me ID'ing them.
However, one place refused me and a friend, and we're both 22, and we had our ID's, but the dipshit couldn't take an ID from Panama. I've seen like 5 Mexican ID's and 1 England ID. Don't be a bitch, Anon.

The ABC hires children and people to purposefully attempt to purchase tobacco and alcohol for the sole purpose of citing those individuals who let it slide when someone doesn't have their ID. Some can even make an arrest, while they slap a 250$ fine on your establishment and you get sent to court. It's not a joke. Some people settle out of court for thousands of dollars because a stupid attendant or server over-served or didn't ID.
