Let me reiterate this since your brain seems to be slowing down from B12 deficiency:
No crop is ever used for a single purpose. When we grow wheat, the fruit body is used for humans and the leaves, stems, husks and cobbs are used as animal feed.
The authors of the paper that claims that half of all crops are grown for animals concluded, that because the majority of a wheat plant (by weight) is inedible to humans and therefore used as animal feed, it must be grown for animals instead.

They're basically telling you to eat hay.
Not only that, they also claimed that we could feed 4 billion people off of calories alone when our nutritional needs also include fats, protein, minerals, vitamins, etc.

It's propaganda to make you eat more Kelloggs flakes. In fact the paper was sponsored by Kelloggs
