I can't seem to find any agreement on the web about how long eggs are good after the expiration date?

Does /ck know when it's time to throw the eggs out?

I'm spending the week in a strange house.
Other than junk food, there is only:
A bag of potatoes
A dozen eggs
A bag of frozen shrimp
Salted almonds
Salt, pepper, tumeric
and two cans of soup.

What's the best course of action, before I go out and buy new food?
