there are valid problems with milk. peptides and microRNA in milk modify cellular functioning, influencing your growth and metabolism. casein has some pro-inflammatory properties when digested. IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor) production can be increased with milk consumption, which has detrimental effects regarding tumor development. estrogen in milk is absorbed into the body and does affect natural hormone systems. Even in low doses, long term consumption of estrogen from milk can have negative consequences on development, especially at critical periods (like puberty for example).

milk has a lot of consequences that some other foods do not have. nutritionally, it's solid. it's a complete protein source, calorically dense, albeit with quite a bit of saturated fat and sugar. there are just a lot of health related consequences from drinking milk regularly.

all that being said, i drink a shitload of milk.
