Great rebuttal religious friend, all non religious people are just southerners and therefore don't count

The midwest, and catholic culture in general is not associated with mega churches, this just isn't a thing

I like how you are saying your objectively incorrect preconceptions are more accurate and useful, but by reasoned statement is just "personal experiences"

Also, unpopulated? The midwest is the 2nd most urban part of the country after the northeast. Are you confusing the midwest with the great plains or something?

So this conversation started by discussing about how strongly drinking correlated with being from a civilized area and how this also correlated with places settled by catholics (which are now the least religious parts of america) in the face of you whining about how Wisconsin drank too much

and somehow
>Yes, yes, "at least we're not the south".
is what you got from this?

>megachurch retards
megachurches are not common at all in the upper midwest, its mostly a fucking lot of small lutheran churches and larger but more apathetic catholic ones (which are only larger because there aren't many priests anymore so so many have combined over the last few decades)

if southerners aren't poor, why are they so religious?

>Women in the south generally don't drink as much as the sluts up north.
and the same is true of their men, because of religion

>Considering how many people from California and the north have moved to the south
Sure a lot of poor people from the north and maybe a few from the west have moved to the south, but certainly not anywhere near enough to change what the majority religion is in many if any counties.

and the Catholic church has had many issues in the past but catholics are especially supportive of the alcohol consumption (most of those in america having come from ireland, poland or germany)

and evangelics in america are much worse and far more backwards today than the catholics who are not nearly as devout anymore
Notice that the more catholic states don't give as many shits
