Look, rice and water is just 2 ingredients but a billion people use rice cookers daily. I want to shave time off my busy life as many ways as I can.

Anon how is someone from NYC supposed to replicate a seafood dish from Italy? The italians eat plenty of seafood but no one outside of the mediterranean is gonna be able to make it simply due to not having the ingredients. Did you suffer from an aneurism before making this thread?

You think they have a cheese they just call swiss cheese?

Americans have a cheese they just call Swiss cheese, and it's highly regulated if it's packaged that way. You should check it out. The USDA inspects different kinds, rind and rindless, and the average size of the holes which should vary from 3/8 to 13/16 and the texture of the holes and not just the cheese, then it gets graded on a variety of things based on color to acidity and graininess (like 12 fucking items.) I think a couple bacteria have to be used, but I might be mistaken, but despite often being sold in ziplock pouches even the feed for the dairy cows is taken into consideration.

You don't have to do that at all.
What are you even talking about?

Literally 2 days ago I seasoned up a bunch of really shitty cast iron pans I found in a closet my grandfather bought and then never used. They're very rough, the sand casting was not well done by any means.
But, even a quick seasoning by heating the pans on high until they were smoking and starting to color then a wipe down with oil was enough to make them almost totally non-stick. Just today I made fried eggs in an 8in pan with just a splash of oil and no stickage at all.

>Not to mention it is basically a cunt hair away from mexican food.
Mexican food is also extremely diverse depending on region, and you're probably only familiar with the export version you found at Don Pablo's.

If your complaint is that they use staple ingredients, well yes, most cultures are going to have some form of commonly found spice, grain, or meat. Listing 10 of them and saying you will usually find one is ridiculous. If I list one that doesn't have it, your next complaint is probably going to be that it's rare.
