Cheesie's by the Belmont Redline stop.
Renaldi's (Pizza)
Sappori Trattoria (High-end Italian)
Aloha Eats (Hawaiian Asian stuff. Kickass Katsu)

Pretty much all these places are on Broadway. North of Fullerton, south of Wrigley Field.

Don't bother going to Ann Sather's for anything other than their meme cinnamon rolls. The breakfast food is too expensive and sub-par.

Stop here regularly. It's like an entire Saturday night in one city block. You start at the dive bar,hit up the late night Mexican place when you're hungry, and wrap up with Stella's in the morning.

The bar next door is a little regulars dive. On the other side is a taco stand. The hostess Maria will sometimes duck out mid morning shift to get a quick drink at the bar.

Typical summer day:
>Drink all night at bar
>Eat late night tacos
>Go home, pass out
>Wake up, get brunch
>Repeat
