about £20, or about US$25
this assumes it was 1k of chicken legs, 1kg of sugar, 4 pints of milk, a 750ml Leffe, 6 pack of eggs, 500g of pasta, 500g buckwheat, and 250g of cheese
I couldn't find a small vanilla coke, but a normal one is about £1 to £2 depending on where you get it from
I also put on a tin of sardines as they're 37p/100g
The really expensive thing was the Buckwheat. It's £4/kg whereas long grain rice is £0.45/kg. Oats are £0.70/kg, lentils £1.80/kg, and barley £1.30/kg
More expensive than Russia, but the UK has a median income of nearly 3x what Russia does

I'm not really sure how competitive supermarkets are in the US, but here in the UK they'll fight tooth and nail to keep their prices as low as possible because they know consumers will happily shop at the cheapest place.

It's to do with the cost of living crisis, but this happened a few years ago as well. For a frame of reference, Tesco has just under 30% of the UK supermarket market share.

how much is the chicken for you? It would be about US$1.39 for UK raised and slaughtered fresh chicken legs.
