I got the job when I was 21, so that was in 2006. Right out of the gate, I realized my city had a crack problem. People would come in and try to be clever about stealing just enough Brillo pad to put in a crack stem. The fucking Brillo pads were $2.00 and you'd think they were made from solid gold by the way the crack heads tried to steel them. Every 6 months we'd have an audit and they'd ask stupid questions like 'where are the 39 Brillo pads?' I'd have to explain to these milktoast mother fuckers how many products we sold that were specifically on the market with the extremely intent purpose of smoking meth or crack. After I did this three or four times, my district manager of Circle K pulled me aside and told me to stop dropping giant red pills on the audit guys and asked me to show him how to make a crack and meth pipe out of those roses you would see on the counters. I showed him how and that faggot immediately sent me for a drug test, which I passed because all this shit I'd learned in the parking lot from sweeping and crack / meth types were always very 'hey kid wanna see something cool' sorta people.

I stopped the theft of Brillo pads by placing one on the hot water box in the bathroom in a ziplock bag and when someone I knew was a crack head would come in, I'd ask them, "Looking for some scoring pads?" And when they said yeah, I'd tell them, "Don't waste your money, there's one in a ziplock bag in the bathroom, I don't use it for cleaning but it seems to be shrinking one pinch at a time." My boss told me to quit enabling crack heads but I was like, I've saved this store almost $100 in Brillo pads in six months.

Another time I had like 5-6 white kids come in stinking like weed, they mulled about, one bought some drinks and then they all left. Cops brought those fuckers bag and they'd stolen basically ever $10 pack of jerky we had and the cops brought them back specifically because they had no bags or receipts.
