It’s so easy you’re going to kick yourself for not knowing how.

Heat your pan up, add some canola oil and work it around the pan until the cooking surface is coated. Use a paper towel to remove excess oil, we just need a coating on the metal. Set your burner to medium high and watch for the oil to begin smoking. Once you see the oil smoking give it a few seconds and kill the heat. Let the pan cool down a bit and you should now be able to see a reflection in the pan. What you just did was polymerize a layer of oil onto the metal forming a temporary non stick surface.

See pic related. This is a stainless steel pan before being polymerized. Notice the typical dull stainless steel, no reflection.
