it does not really mean what it may spell out ... it means bragging or boasting about whatever or making stuff seem better than it is or even used to describe someone who is very arrogant and thinks he/she is better than everyone else it all stems from exaggerating instead of keeping it simple as it should be. the saying is "Echarle mucha crema a sus tacos" the "mucha" is an important word to add because crema is common in mexican dishes but usually things wont be drowned in it.
