I thought air fryers were a meme, holy shit this thing makes good salmon

I finally used the fryer my parents got me for XMas. After years of bashing them for being lazy ass cooking I have to admit. These things make fries and other fried foods amazing.

What do you like to cook with these?

How many of you are tired of seeing this things?

I'm seeing a lot of "this product is good" posts that look shill tier. No one is addressing the posts talking about how it's just a convection oven.
Is an air fryer just a more expensive convection oven? Can you do the same things an air fryer can do but with a toaster oven sized convection oven? Whats with this marketing for air fryers if convection ovens are essentially the same thing? Are there any advantages to an air fryer over a convection oven of the same size?

So air fryers. Are they a meme? My brother got one for our mother this Christmas and she'll love it but I'm wondering what can she really do with it and if they're good

>cooks potatoes without oil
>litteratly eat a pound of home fries for only 400 calories
>cook chicken without having to watch over it making sure your house doesn't burn down
>can dehydrate fruits
>easy as fuck
>cook food in half the time
>all in one
>no more using a ton of pots and pans and shit

So why don't you have an air fryer?

My roommate has an air fryer, and the food that comes out of it always tastes like shit (hes a good cook otherwise). Also, it stinks up the house. Why would anyone use one of these things?
